Liz Painting   Prior to painting fulltime, Liz Kenyon worked as a freelance artist illustrating book covers for Avon Books, New York. She’s nationally published and has won over 20 awards for her illustrations, monoprints and soft pastel paintings.

Liz attended the University of Arizona where she learned the basics. “I drew what’s unseen behind the human figure with a mesquite twig and sorted out colors into endless families of values.”

Although she’s lived and worked in Phoenix since 1975, memories of rolling oak covered hills and the lonely farmworker of her California upbringing have continued as recurring themes in her artwork. “I enjoy travelling to hilltop regions in search of classic rural landscapes and I’m passionate when it comes to color.”
